Job Description

Role / Designation- Medical Coder

Years of Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in medical coding using CPT, ICD-10, and E/M coding

Education / Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences, Health Information Management, or related field; coding certification mandatory

Job Location: Vizag (WORK FROM OFFICE)

Other requirements-

Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Assigning accurate CPT, ICD-10, and E/M codes to diagnoses and procedures based on medical record documentation.
Review and ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance of coded data in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.
Work closely with healthcare providers to clarify diagnosis and procedure information as required.
Meet quality and productivity standards as defined by the organization and clients.
Keep abreast of coding updates, changes in regulations, and industry best practices.
Familiarity with US healthcare industry regulations; ability to work flexible shifts as needed
Participate in audits and assist in resolving coding-related queries or discrepancies.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical coding standards.

Skills Required:

Comprehensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and E/M coding guidelines.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
