Role & responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of medical billers, providing comprehensive training, coaching, and performance feedback. Conduct regular audits of medical records and claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Analyze practice revenue data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance overall practice performance. Correcting of coding errors made by charge posting team Timely Client communication through phone/email Proactively identify global issues impacting clients and work effectively with team and clients to find prompt solutions. Manage and attend client calls to discuss and present opportunities for them to expand their practice. Ensure the availability of resources and information necessary to support the operation and monitoring of the processes. Identify trends within the portfolio to aid collections and improve productivity. Stay up-to-date on the ever-evolving medical billing regulations and coding updates. Maintain a strong understanding of insurance payer rules and regulations. Provide clear and concise updates to the team on billing procedures, regulations, and performance metrics. Resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejections with efficiency. Prepare comprehensive and informative billing reports for management. Preferred candidate profile Any graduate or Postgraduate degree. Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical billing, with a strong understanding of US healthcare billing practices and regulations. Through knowledge in medical coding. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training programs. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear and concise instructions and explanations to team members. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in medical billing software and systems. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to work under minimum supervision and demonstrate strong initiative Willing to work extended hours
