Description
As a Media Relations Specialist at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in communicating the company's initiatives effectively to various stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing a comprehensive media strategy to achieve organizational goals. You will be instrumental in building and nurturing relationships with key media personnel and influencers to ensure high share of voice and editorial coverage across various mediums. Working closely with the Communications team, you will be involved in profiling the company's leadership, including the global CEO, CTO, and CHRO, by preparing briefing documents and aligning with global teams. Your role will also entail developing, editing, and distributing press releases, announcements, and other press materials in coordination with different departments within the organization. Collaboration with internal and external partners will be essential to ensure smooth operations and effective communication strategies. You will lead relationships with external PR agencies and vendors to enhance the company's media presence. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting crisis communications by preparing, managing, and creating content for crisis scenarios. To excel in this role, you should have 6-8 years of experience in Public Relations, Media Relations, or Communications, with a proven track record of executing successful PR campaigns across various media platforms. An understanding of the energy, oil & gas, infrastructure, and technology sectors is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with expertise in presentations and reports, will be required to effectively convey the company's messages. Having a keen understanding of the media landscape, trends, new media, and social media tools will be beneficial in driving the company's media relations initiatives. Your performance will be measured based on key performance indicators such as share of voice, key message transmission, spokesperson visibility, tonality, and reach.
