As a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst Sport Media at YouGov Sport, you will be joining our growing media team. This role is perfect for individuals with a strong passion for sport and possess a solid analytical mindset. Your primary responsibility will involve working with data to uncover valuable insights and craft compelling stories for our clients. Your daily tasks will include supporting senior colleagues on complex projects, as well as independently managing smaller projects. You will work across various global sports properties and media evaluation tasks. Furthermore, you will create searches and utilize bespoke media tools to gather and analyze relevant data. Your expertise in Microsoft Excel will be crucial as you perform advanced media valuation analysis using pivot tables, vlookups, IF formulae, and data filters. In addition to analyzing data trends, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy, you will be responsible for producing customized client reports with clear narratives that facilitate data-driven decisions. Your role will also involve coaching and assisting junior analysts, proofreading reports, and suggesting enhancements to written insights and data presentation. Maintaining dashboards and databases with up-to-date information while adhering to data quality control processes will be essential in ensuring consistent and compliant delivery. Key Accountabilities: - Collating secondary media data through targeted bespoke searches - Analyzing broadcast data and making logical estimations - Preparing and transforming data with appropriate extrapolation and methodology - Uploading data to proprietary dashboards - Performing data validation and verification checks - Writing reports to showcase key insights and emerging trends - Communicating scheduling issues to managers and team members Qualifications & Skills: - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Enthusiasm for writing evaluation reports and analyzing media data - Experience in the media evaluation sector, particularly in sports media, is desirable - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, IF formulae, pivot tables, data filters) - Strong written communication skills with the ability to present data clearly - Effective communication skills, including with senior stakeholders Joining YouGov Sport will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a global leader in sports media research and analytics.
