Role & responsibilities Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in subsystem / component Design & Development of Locomotive / automobile / heavy industries Will be owning key CTQ like delivery, schedules, quality for subsystem within engineering teams Ensure that all basic project management activities are performed on-time and with primary focus on tracker updates To focus on value additions and cost savings beyond the expected tasks by customer Thorough knowledge of engineering fundamentals Should be very good at structural calculations, bolted joint, weld joint calculations Able to analyze shop issues and provide solutions Should have worked on Concept generation using idea generation methods. Have good knowledge on new component introduction process, FMEA and validation process of components Strong knowledge in Engineering standards followed [ANSI,ISO,ASTM] Good oral / written communication skill, English proficiency, MS office proficiency GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field service and external consulting engineering teams. Experience in UG NX with TcE knowledge Present in meetings which will be scheduled with functional managers / CFT or toll gate reviews Minimum understanding on FEA in terms of coordination and analyzing the reports shared by FEA team Work Experience Good in drawing reading skills Knowledge of manufacturing and machining process. Skills required Quality & Inspection measuring equipment knowledge Personal soft skills & Self-motivated Creativity and ingenuity Excellent work ethics
