Job Description – Mechanical Technician (Gas & Steam Turbines)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of Gas and Steam Turbine systems.
• Carry out troubleshooting, overhauling, and corrective maintenance of turbines, compressors, gearboxes, and auxiliary systems.
• Conduct alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis of rotating machinery.
• Assist in disassembly/assembly of turbine components such as blades, rotors, bearings, and seals.
• Support routine preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with OEM standards.
• Work closely with engineers during shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning activities.
• Follow strict safety guidelines and company HSE policies.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician (Gulf experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical tools, equipment, and systems.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Good communication skills and safety awareness.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and calibrate instrumentation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair sensors, transmitters, PLCs, controllers, and other field instruments.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance for instrumentation systems.
• Read and interpret P&ID, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Support commissioning, testing, and loop checking of instruments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician (Gulf experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, calibration tools, and PLC/DCS basics.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and work under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
