As a Senior Engineer Trade Compliance at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting Atlas Copco's global operations by ensuring accurate customs classification (HS code) and trade compliance. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical products will be utilized to uphold international trade regulations and provide valuable guidance to internal stakeholders across various regions. Your key responsibilities will include performing HS Code Classification of mechanical and electrical components based on technical specifications and customs guidelines from Europe, India, USA, China, and WTO. You will also evaluate products for Dual-Use compliance screening, engage regularly with internal stakeholders, stay updated with global trade compliance regulations, and train team members on trade compliance topics. Additionally, you will be responsible for resource planning, maintaining high-quality service levels, and driving efficiency through modern tools. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of mechanical/electrical parts, hands-on experience in Customs Compliance or Trade Classification, and demonstrated expertise in accurate HS Code classification per international customs regulations. Knowledge of General Rules for Interpretation (GRI/GIR), HS Classification, Dual-Use Goods Screening, and experience with tools like SAP/BPCS/ERP systems will be advantageous.
