Your role will involve planning and facilitating student and teacher sessions on creativity, innovations, prototyping, electronics, mechanical projects, and more. Additionally, you will guide students in their research and innovation projects, while also fostering a culture of innovation within the school. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working with students of all ages, with a preference for those who have experience working with school students for over a year. You should possess a curious and inquisitive mindset, enjoying exploration, tinkering, innovating, and hands-on activities. Experience with or a willingness to learn electronics and mechanical tools, Robotics, 3D Printing, and Laser machine technologies is desired. As the Stores In-Charge for the Tool Room, you will be responsible for managing, controlling, and supervising all tools, equipment, and inventory related to the tool room. Your role will require a strong mechanical background to comprehend tool specifications, maintenance, and effective utilization to support production activities. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring proper storage, issuance, and maintenance of tools and equipment. You will be tasked with maintaining accurate inventory records of tools, spare parts, and consumables, and conducting regular audits and physical verification of tools to prevent loss, damage, or misuse. Collaboration with production and maintenance teams will be essential to ensure timely availability of tools and equipment. Monitoring tool usage, recommending repair, replacement, or procurement as needed, and implementing and maintaining tool management systems to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime will be part of your duties. You must ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of tools while also training and supervising tool room staff on best practices for tool handling and inventory management. Additionally, preparing reports on tool usage, stock levels, and procurement needs, as well as liaising with vendors and suppliers for purchase and maintenance services, will be crucial to your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in tool room management or stores management within a mechanical/manufacturing environment is required. A strong knowledge of mechanical tools, equipment, and their applications is essential, along with good organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems is an advantage, as well as attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
