Key Responsibilities: Understand job requirements thoroughly and plan the job sequence to complete tasks in the shortest possible time Advise contractors on critical path activities and ensure timely completion within set deadlines Coordinate issuance and collection of materials (CPCL scope) and verify their usage as per plans Read and interpret equipment drawings and work lists; coordinate execution in the field Ensure all jobs are carried out following safety rules, refinery F&S guidelines, and maintenance procedures Prepare daily status reports for submission to the Manager Field Monitor job progress on each equipment, update shift turnover log book with start and completion times of activities Update equipment monitoring/follow-up charts immediately upon completion of activities Visit plant sites regularly to check job progress and resolve any resource constraints by coordinating with CPCL engineers Coordinate with contractors, prepare material requirement plans, and inform the CPCL Planning Manager in advance Liaise with various refinery sections like Inspection and Manufacturing for smooth execution of jobs Adhere strictly to CPCL safety regulations and ensure any violations are promptly corrected and reported Key Requirements: Mechanical Engineering qualification: B.Tech/BE/AMIE with minimum 3 years experience or Diploma with 6 years relevant experience Experience in mechanical planning and supervision in refineries or petrochemical industries, especially hydrocarbon plant maintenance Experience in at least one M&I or revamp shutdown in refinery or petrochemical industry Knowledge of refinery static equipment such as furnaces, columns, vessels, heat exchangers, and heaters Strong understanding of safety standards and refinery maintenance procedures Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work lists Familiarity with codes and standards like ASTM, ANSI, API Proficiency in MS Office and hands-on experience with Primavera project management software Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (day/night) as per schedule Knowledge of CPCL rules, regulations, and guidelines for refinery maintenance jobs Working Hours: 12-hour shifts, rotating between day and night as per schedule

Mechanical Planning Engineer's Job Description Developing and maintaining project master schedules and project status for Management review. Preparing /Updating project control procedures and project planning packages for assigned projects. Establishing Work Breakdown structure (WBS) & detailed schedules using MS Project. Developing and maintaining Project Progress Measurement System in line with requirements. Establishing and monitoring project progress based on key milestones and performance indicators (KPIs). Analysing, evaluating and forecasting project progress against an established baseline schedule. Assessing and notifying the impacts of any changes and schedule slippages. Providing timely schedule impact reviews and integrated project schedule updates. Preparing graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate project progress / cost status and forecast requirements for Project team. Ensuring projects are executed within the contractual duration and allowed budgets and identify/issue potential variations to management. Devising strategies to overcome schedule slippages through various meetings with the concerned and using industry related technical knowledge, innovating shortcuts or alternative ways acceptable to company, improvising with available resources, scheduling overtime to meet the deadline and the like. Preparing recovery schedules and time impact analysis. Integrating resources and costs into schedules for budgets, expenditure and resource analysis. Preparing & tracking invoices as per the invoicing procedures. Reviewing /approving Contractors / Vendors Project Control deliverables including project schedules, progress measurements system, reporting requirements etc. Preparing and issuing weekly/monthly reports as stipulated by management on agreed cut-off dates to assess the project progress, shortfalls, concerns etc. Coordinating and regulating various meetings such as project progress review meetings. Assisting the Head of Department in the management of the department workload.
