About the Role

Mechanical Technician

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of mechanical machinery and equipment.
Install, assemble, and test mechanical components and systems.
Diagnose mechanical issues and replace or repair parts as necessary.
Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
Ensure equipment performance by making necessary adjustments and calibrations.
Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and documentation.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality procedures.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams during equipment upgrades or new installations.

Required Skills

Knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, pumps, motors, and hydraulics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Understanding of safety protocols and preventive maintenance practices.
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting (MS Excel, ERP preferred).

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma
in Mechanical, Fitter, or related trade.
Experience:
2+ Years
Certification in mechanical maintenance or industrial safety (preferred).

Salary Range

2.75LPA (based on experience and skills)
