Job Description Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

**Department:** Maintenance

**Reports To:** Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose

To supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring minimum downtime, safe operations, and smooth running of plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities and team members.
Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot and repair pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment.
Ensure availability of critical spares, tools, and maintenance records.
Promote safe working practices and enforce use of PPE.
Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Prepare maintenance reports and highlight recurring issues.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
02 to 05 years of experience in mechanical maintenance (preferably in industrial plants).
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
Leadership and problem-solving skills.
