A Maintenance Fitter is responsible for the installation, Preventive maintenance, repair, and inspection of mechanical equipment and machineries, the key responsibilities typically include: 1. Equipment Maintenance Perform routine maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely. Inspect mechanical systems, equipment, and components for signs of wear, damage, or potential failure. Lubricate moving parts and replace worn-out components, such as bearings, gears, and belts. 2. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and identify faults in mechanical systems using tools like gauges, meters, and diagnostic devices. Repair or replace defective parts, including shafts, pistons, and hydraulic systems. Test repaired equipment to verify functionality and safety. 4. Fabrication and Welding Fabricate or modify machine parts using tools such as lathes, grinders, or welding equipment. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to create or repair components. 5. Safety and Compliance Follow workplace safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Conduct risk assessments and ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations. Keep records of maintenance activities and report any safety hazards or incidents. 6.
