JOB PURPOSE: To perform various assignments designed to improve the facility, assist in supporting the manufacturing operation and resolve operational problems associated with equipment and facilities. JOB DUTIES: This is a staff assignment involved in the improvement of the facility (utilities, water, electrical, mechanical and the coordination of the maintenance of various manufacturing equipment.. This assignment will be geared to systems integration of manufacturing equipment and the support services needed to maintain equipment and/or building operations. Analyzes and recommends current and future systems, procedures, training and equipment needs based upon understanding and communication with users. Determines acceptability of new equipment based on industrial equipment specifications and recommends modification or revision as necessary. Troubleshoots throughout the facility to determine the cause of failure, the lack of efficiency and the need for repair or improvement of systems or equipment. Resolves problems in design and recommends solutions to prevent recurrence of problem. Troubleshooting duties may be specific in nature based on area of expertise, but could include other disciplines. Coordinates development of a planned maintenance program and prepares documentation to support maintenance frequency and recurring problems. Investigates problems occurring in the shop that are maintenance related and recommends solutions to alleviate the problem. Work assignments are assigned based on specific background and major projects are divided according to individual expertise, experience and educational background. Coordination between the various disciplines is essential for successful completion of assignment. Expertise may be in electrical and mechanical. Determines legal requirements for hazardous wastes and air emissions and ensures that the facility is in compliance with state, federal and local laws and regulations. Conducts necessary training for facility personnel with regard to these subjects. Determines building requirements for utilities, water, sewer and electrical systems. Assists in the design of these systems to reflect changes in building requirements due to new equipment and/or rearrangement. Manages outside contractors performing maintenance, repairs or changes to the facility or utility system. Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, hazardous materials and ergonomics in performing assigned duties. Extending support to FSE/ FPE during the installation commissioning of the machine at the site Going through customer specifications in detail, understanding critical project requirements, and deriving all requirements for the design of various Mechanical Auxiliaries according to BH best practices Collaborating with external engineering suppliers in the creation of basic engineering drawings of various Mechanical Auxiliaries items, foundation drawings, and managing 3D models. Reviewing engineering drawings 3D models. Also, Performing Structural analysis of baseplates using FEA tools [BDOT - BH Tool] Assigning reviewing static and dynamic analysis when the same is performed with Ansys software by external suppliers, and creating print drawings for the baseplate. Creating Piping line specifications using PUMA (BH Tool). Designing / sizing of the lube oil tank (API 614) and selection of Lube oil system components like pumps, LV motors, filters, accumulators, rundown tanks, and pressure control valves. Being responsible for the skid package design of Compressor Steam turbine packages, including package piping support design, locking assembly, et,c with due consideration to ergonomics, accessibility, and maintenance. Being responsible for the design of various external BOP skids that include Oil mist eliminators, Rundown oil tanks, and Seal gas treatment skids in collaboration with external OEM vendors. Owning the plant 3D model of the whole project, verifying interface across different products that constitute the project, shaping 3D model review meetings with the customer Performing/reviewing stress analysis of piping supports, where required. To be successful in this role, you will: Have a BE/BTech in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Have 6+ years of experience in the Packaging of rotating equipment, auxiliary equipment design, piping support design/ analysis, and structural analysis. Have knowledge of piping design for ASME B31.1 31.3, Lube oil System sizing to API 614 code requirement. Have experience in sizing calculations and valve selection. Be Proficient in NX modules; modelling, drafting, routing assembly. Have hands-on 3D modelling/detailing tools like UG NX, Autocad, and Analysis software like Ansys, Caesar, etc Be able to read understand engineering documents (like P ID, technical data sheets, and OM manuals) and site service requests.
