Mechanical Intern

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern who has a strong interest in product design and development. The ideal candidate must have basic knowledge of 3D design tools and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team with 3D modeling, part design, and assembly design.
• Support in creating and updating technical drawings, product layouts, and documentation.
• Aid in prototype development, testing, and evaluation of mechanical components.
• Perform basic tolerance analysis, dimensional checks, and design updates based on feedback.
• Work closely with Product Development, Testing, and Production teams for design feasibility.
• Assist in research activities for materials, manufacturing processes, and product improvements.
• Maintain proper documentation and follow engineering standards during development.

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (final year student or recent graduate).
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on working knowledge of at least one 3D modeling software, such as:
• SolidWorks
• Autodesk Inventor
• PTC Creo
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T basics, and material properties.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptualization skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

• Exposure to prototyping tools (3D printing, CNC basics, etc.).
• Knowledge of sheet metal, plastics, or consumer product design.
• Understanding of DFM/DFA principles.
