Mechanical Fitter

Role Overview: As a skilled Fitter with expertise in tank fabrication, your main responsibility will be fabricating, assembling, and welding metal tanks with precision, safety, and quality standards. You will work with various materials, perform detailed measurements, and ensure the final products meet industry specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. - Cut, shape, and assemble metal components for tank fabrication using hand tools, power tools, and welding machines. - Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and assembly of parts to construct tanks and related structures. - Conduct quality checks on materials and finished components to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. - Align, fit, and assemble parts accurately based on project requirements. - Inspect and test completed tanks for functionality, safety, and durability. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work area. - Troubleshoot and resolve any fabrication issues during the process. - Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met. Qualifications: - Proven experience in metal fabrication, particularly tank fabrication. - Strong knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick). - Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. - Proficient in the use of fabrication tools and equipment. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. - Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to adhere to industry standards. - Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, noisy, etc.).
