As a Mechanical Design Engineer at HCLTech, your role will involve the following responsibilities: **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for designing and integrating hydraulics systems, mechanical components, and engine installations with a focus on hydraulics installation design, mechanical design engineering, and engine installation and cooling. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Hydraulics Installation Design:** - Understand hydraulics schematics and integrate hydraulic components accordingly. - Select hoses, tubes, adaptors, and fittings to meet system requirements. - Perform engineering calculations for hose and tube sizes. - Design and route fluid systems including tubes, bulk hoses, and molded hoses. - Design supporting brackets for hydraulic component placement. - Conduct FEA and dynamic hoses analysis. - **Mechanical Design Engineer (RPD):** - Create serviceable BOMs using Creo for kit design. - Develop concepts with feasibility analysis for aftermarket design. - Troubleshoot and resolve design issues for production support. - Perform FEA, bolted joint, and swivel analysis using Creo Simulate. - Demonstrate proficiency in Creo 7/10, Teamcenter, GD&T, and various manufacturing processes. - **Mechanical Design Engineer (Engine Installation and Cooling):** - Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) initiatives. - Expertise in mounting radiators, engine cooling components, and engine mounting. - Proficient in fuel lines, hose routing, mounting air intake systems, and mounting exhaust systems. - Experience in machine packaging/integration, simulations (FEA/CFD), testing, and validation. - Implement Built-In Quality (BIQ) practices. **Qualifications Required:** - For Lead Position: B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 6 to 8 years of experience. - For Team Member Position: B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience. - Skills required: Creo, Teamcenter Engineering, Fluid Lines, Creo Simulate, use of engineering standards, specifications, and REDI Design Guides.
