Primary Role Title:

Mechanical Design EngineerRole & Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and product development efforts: translate requirements into 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing-ready drawings using CAD tools.
• Create and maintain accurate BOMs, detailed drawings with GD&T callouts, and ECOs to support production handoff and supplier communication.
• Perform FEA-driven validation and tolerance analysis to optimise part geometry for strength, manufacturability, and cost.
• Prototype components and coordinate vendor-run trialsoversee design iterations, fit-checks, and DFM improvements.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions (DFMEA).
• Contribute to engineering standards, drawing templates, and PLM workflows to improve design-to-production cycle times and product reliability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering (ideally 3+ years).
• Proven track record delivering designs for manufacturability and working with suppliers on prototyping and production.
