Mechanical Engineer - Product Design Engineering

As a Mechanical Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for working efficiently under minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks. You will play a crucial role in the mechanical and design cycle of product development, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborating with the sales and marketing managers as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the design, development, and evaluation of new and existing products. - Utilize Solidworks/Creo 3D software for CAD drafting services to design, evaluate, and archive product documentation. - Review design specifications and requirements to develop designs that best support them, considering cost as a key design variable. - Aid in the evaluation and troubleshooting of products. - Develop bill of materials and conduct costing analysis as required. - Collaborate with domestic and international teams to develop and support products. - Provide regular progress and status reports to the engineering manager. - Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in Solidworks 3D, Creo, Inventor, or Autocad. - Hands-on experience in Sheetmetal and GD&T. - Experience in mechanical design using metals, plastics, glass, and rubber. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. - Experience from Design engineering firms is preferred. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
