As an Associate Building Mechanical Engineer at Stantec, you will be part of a global design and delivery firm that focuses on infrastructure, water resources, buildings, mining, power & dams, and oil & gas sectors. Your primary role will involve providing technical assistance in mechanical design to support Building Mechanical work across global regions as part of a multi-disciplinary team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide technical expertise in HVAC for conceptual design, outline design, detailed design, and construction support for projects across Stantec. - Collaborate closely with regional stakeholders, external clients, and local team members to ensure project outcomes meet client and Stantec expectations. - Produce mechanical deliverables such as calculations, schedules, drawings, and specifications in compliance with applicable standards and codes. - Foster a culture of continuous technical, procedural, and QA improvement within your projects. - Develop your professional profile internally and externally by consistently delivering successful projects and contributing to design team meetings. - Assist in the development of tools, procedures, and standards while continuously improving your skills and knowledge. **Qualifications and Skills:** - Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Proficiency in HVAC design software such as Carrier HAP, Trane, Camel, IES, or equivalent. - Ability to perform pump and pipeline sizing for plumbing systems. - Basic knowledge of CAD/BIM software like Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Civil, Structural, Electrical disciplines. - Strong communication skills in English, client service focus, organized work habits, stable career record, and team player. - Desire to learn new skillsets and perform new services as required for the role. **Additional Details:** Stantec is a global company with approximately 22,000 employees working across six continents in over 400 locations.
