Mechanical Engineer 2D/3D Modeling

You are a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with 1-2 years of experience in 3D modeling & 2D drafting, seeking to join the Design/R&D Team at Vortex. Your role will involve understanding, learning, and developing new products from scratch in the special purpose machines category, contributing to your technical growth and learning curve. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform 3D modeling and 2D drafting of new products, such as electromagnetic brakes and clutches, including mechanical components and assemblies. - Apply GD&T principles to optimize product performance and ensure proper fit and functions. - Create technical documentation like drawings, specifications, and product catalogues to support product development. - Work with PLM software to manage product data and ensure data integrity. - Manage engineering change requests (ECRs) to implement design changes accurately and timely. **Qualifications Required:** - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1-2 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment. - Knowledge of GD&T principles and their application in design. - Familiarity with ECN/ECR/ECO processes and any PLM software. - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) principles would be advantageous.
