Mechanical Drafter/Designer

As a Mechanical Drafter/Designer, you will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing technical drawings in accordance with ASME Y14 standards, ensuring accuracy and clarity. - Applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 to ensure proper part functionality and manufacturability. - Designing and optimizing components for casting and machining processes, considering material properties and manufacturing constraints. - Evaluating Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and implementing necessary changes to drawings, models, and BOMs. - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, including drawings, models, and BOMs. - Performing tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure proper fit and function of assembled components. - Collaborating with engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to resolve design issues and ensure seamless product development. - Assisting in prototyping and testing of designed components and assemblies. - Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and standards. In order to be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: - Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical drafting and design. - Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent experience). - Expert proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation. - Strong understanding and practical application of ASME Y14 standards and GD&T per ASME Y14.5. - Extensive experience designing components for casting and machining processes. - Ability to evaluate and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs). - Proficiency in creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs). - Ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Experience with SolidWorks PDM/Manage, Microsoft Suite. - Experience in the oil and gas industry a plus. - Knowledge of ASME, API, and DIN a plus.,
