The India System design team is responsible to own and deliver System design milestones for IBM POWER, Storage and mainframe platforms. The team collaborates with Global System design & development teams and stakeholders. Lead the design and development of components and assemblies for gas turbine systems, including combustors, casings, ducts, and pressure vessels. Perform detailed engineering hand calculations for stress analysis, thermal expansion, fatigue, and creep life assessments. Design pressure vessels in compliance with ASME Section VIII, PED, or other applicable standards. Generate and review 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings with proper GD&T and tolerances. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including thermal, materials, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and design robustness. Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and validation testing (including hydrostatic and pressure tests). Mechanical Design, process & PLM support for PMC-Hgas Project Understand the available physical product architecture by reverse engineering and do the comparison with the design documents like assembly, sub assembly and part etc Understand the existing product Process flow map / SOW and help manufacturing team to setup the production line by creating the updated process/ SOW map. 2D/ 3D model Creation / conversion using the Creo software. Review existing / make the DFMEA, PFMEA, Control plan etc for the list of products Test plan and test report preparation Supplier DFM, FAIR review and provide technical support to supplier to manufacture the plastic, sheet metal and machined parts. Process equipment design review for the line setup.
