Job Overview

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you’ll be hands-on in assembling, aligning, testing, and installing complex textile automation machinery. Your role will bridge engineers’ designs and customer-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, and work orders to assemble machine sub-assemblies and full systems (e.g. SortLink, Cone-Pack units) Interview Questions+1.

• Mount and align mechanical components, belts, rollers, brackets, and sensor assemblies with precision.
• Perform quality assurance testing on each assembly—checking alignment, fit, torque, and function; record inspection results.
• Conduct final machine testing, including operational functionality and safety checks prior to dispatch.
• Collaborate closely with design engineers, electrical technicians, and service team for seamless integration and troubleshooting.

• Document assembly processes, test outcomes, adjustments, and report any deviation or defective parts to supervisors.
• Participate in continuous improvement, offering feedback on efficiency, design improvements, and assembly techniques.
• Assist with field installations, commissioning, and on-site adjustments when required at customer mills.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational background: Minimum high-school diploma; vocational certification or diploma in mechanical engineering / fabrication preferred.
• Hands-on experience: 1–2 years in mechanical assembly or technician roles (preferably in automation or textile machinery).
