Create a joyful, safe, and high-expectation classroom where every child develops strong Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) , social-emotional skills, and curiosity—using active, activity-based teaching aligned with CBSE and NEP 2020. Key Responsibilities1) Teaching & Learning Plan and deliver daily lessons for English/Hindi, EVS, Mathematics (and allotted subjects) using age-appropriate, experiential pedagogy. Design unit plans, weekly lesson plans, and learning materials that meet CBSE learning outcomes and school curriculum maps. Integrate art, physical education, and values across subjects (“art-integrated” & “sports-integrated” learning). 2) Active Teaching (What “active” looks like in our classrooms) 5E model: Engage → Explore → Explain → Elaborate → Evaluate in most lessons. Hands-on activities: Math manipulatives, word cards, science experiments, learning stations, role play, and games. Think–Pair–Share & group work: Frequent peer discussion, cooperative tasks, and presentations. Differentiation: Tiered tasks, choice boards, and flexible grouping to support struggling and advanced learners. Formative checks every 7–10 minutes: Exit tickets, mini whiteboards, quick polls, thumbs up/down. Multisensory literacy: Read-alouds, phonics routines, guided reading, shared & independent writing. Use of visuals & anchor charts: Word walls, number lines, and concept maps created with students. Technology integration: Smartboard/ICT for short clips, interactive practice, and reinforcement (not passive watching). Real-life connection: Local context, field walks, class corners (nature/math/reading), and simple projects. Student voice: Set class goals with children; regular reflection journals. Sample 40-minute lesson flow (reference): 0–5 min: Engage (hook / question / picture prompt) 5–15 min: Explore (manipulatives / pair task / station) 15–25 min: Explain (student explanation first, then teacher clarifies) 25–35 min: Elaborate (apply in new context / challenge problem) 35–40 min: Evaluate (exit ticket + quick feedback) 3) Assessment & Feedback Maintain continuous assessments (rubrics, portfolios, notebooks) and periodic assessments as per school calendar. Give timely, specific feedback; share progress with students and parents. Track FLN benchmarks; plan re-teaching / enrichment from data. 4) Classroom Culture, Safety & Inclusion Establish clear routines and age-appropriate behavior expectations. Ensure child protection and safety protocols; maintain vigilant supervision at all times (classroom, corridors, dispersal, bus duty if assigned). Foster inclusive practices for diverse learners; coordinate with Special Educator when needed. 5) Parent & Community Engagement Conduct PTMs, share learning goals and home-support strategies. Communicate promptly and professionally via school channels. 6) Co-curricular & School Life Lead/assist assemblies, clubs, celebrations, competitions, and educational trips. Support school events, examinations, and substitution duties as required. Qualifications (as per CBSE norms) Essential: Senior Secondary (10+2) with D.El.Ed./ETE/JBT or B.El.Ed. Preferred: CTET Paper I qualified; Graduate in relevant stream; B.Ed. (as per latest CBSE guidelines). Proficiency in English and Hindi (spoken & written). Skills & Competencies Strong command of primary pedagogy and child psychology. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Lesson planning with clear objectives and measurable outcomes. Ability to differentiate instruction and use data for remediation. Comfort with basic EdTech (smartboard, Google Workspace/MS Office). Growth mindset, teamwork, reliability, and ethics.
