You are a motivated and detail-oriented Project Automation Engineer joining our dynamic Project team. Your strong technical expertise in control systems, PLC/SCADA programming, and AutoCAD will be essential for the role. Your responsibilities will include interpreting and understanding client requirements to implement engineering solutions effectively within the allocated budget. You will design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery or processes for specific tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating detailed design specifications, writing PLC codes, HMI interfacing, establishing network architectures, drawing One line drawings, and scripting operation manuals. As a Project Automation Engineer, you will design, engineer, test, and troubleshoot control systems while maintaining technical project files. Publishing reports documenting design details of new projects and qualification test results will also be part of your duties. Your role will require a good understanding of basic machine controls such as induction motor using AC, MCCs, VFDs, Hydraulic and Pneumatics, and Valve controls while ensuring product safety in all designs. You will be involved in design prototyping, field implementation, and testing, as well as troubleshooting communication networks and wiring issues with PLCs and other network components. Developing electrical designs, schematics, and drawings in AutoCAD will be crucial, along with interpreting mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements (e.g., Solidworks). Job Title: Assistant Manager Electrical Engineering Department: Pellet & Beneficiation Plant-Electrical Location: Kandra, Jamshedpur Reports To: Manager / HOD – Electrical Job Purpose: To lead electrical maintenance and reliability initiatives ensuring plant availability, safety, and energy efficiency across the Pellet and Beneficiation Plant. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the execution of maintenance activities for all plant electrical systems (HT/LT). Ensure equipment reliability through RCA, FMEA, and condition monitoring tools. Manage energy consumption and implement energy-saving projects. Coordinate automation system reliability – PLC/DCS/SCADA-based controls. Prepare and monitor annual maintenance plans, budgets, and inventory planning. Drive electrical safety initiatives, audits, and statutory inspections. Liaise with vendors, OEMs, and contractors for AMC and project execution. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians for skill development. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills. Expertise in PLC/SCADA/Automation systems.
