Job Description

Initial Patient Assessment: Performing initial examinations, taking patient histories, and making preliminary diagnoses. Treatment and Management: Providing immediate care, administering medications, and managing patients' conditions according to hospital protocols. Emergency Care: Responding to medical emergencies, providing advanced life support, and coordinating with other medical professionals. Communication and Collaboration: Communicating with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Patient Education: Providing patients and their families with information about treatment plans, health management, and discharge instructions. Quality Assurance: Ensuring the safe and effective use of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals. Shift Handover: Participating in shift handover meetings to ensure continuity of care. Promoting a Safe Environment: Ensuring a clean and functional environment, monitoring infection control measures, and promoting patient safety protocols. Qualifications and Skills: Medical Degree: A valid medical degree (e.g., MBBS) from a recognized institution. Registration: Valid registration with the respective Medical Council. Experience: Proven experience as a Duty Medical Officer or in a clinical care role. Diagnostic and Emergency Management Skills: Strong diagnostic and emergency management skills are essential. Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary. Clinical Judgment: Ability to exercise strong clinical judgment in high-pressure situations.
