Reporting To : Sr. Manager - Production & Operations Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Engineer - Production Planning to lead and optimize our production planning activities in the Green Energy and Waste Management sector, specifically involving custom-designed equipment and machinery for poultry processing and recycling operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely production scheduling, efficient resource allocation, and seamless coordination with cross-functional departments to support environmentally sustainable manufacturing solutions. This role plays a key part in the manufacturing of capital machinery used for organic waste processing, rendering, and recycling systems critical for waste-to-energy conversion and sustainability-focused applications. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage production schedules in alignment with customer orders, engineering designs, and project deadlines. Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Assembly, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure timely and accurate production execution. Plan the production of highly customized equipment and systems used in poultry waste processing, organic rendering, and recycling applications. Monitor manufacturing progress, identify delays or issues, and take corrective actions to ensure timely completion. Review Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings, and technical specifications to plan material and manpower requirements. Optimize machine and labor utilization, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices tailored to the unique challenges of the green technology sector. Track inventory levels of raw materials, components, and work-in-progress (WIP) to prevent shortages or excesses. Generate production reports, capacity plans, and dashboards for internal reviews and performance tracking. Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards throughout the planning process. Skills and Competencies Required: Strong understanding of capital equipment manufacturing, preferably in waste management or recycling technology domains. Excellent production planning, resource allocation, and operations coordination skills. Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) for production and material planning. Sound knowledge of engineering drawings, fabrication workflows, and mechanical assemblies. Familiarity with green manufacturing practices, sustainability standards, and quality compliance. Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities. Good communication and team collaboration skills. Ability to work under tight timelines in a project-driven manufacturing environment. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. Additional certifications in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or supply chain management will be an advantage. 5-8 years of hands-on experience in production planning and control in a machinery or equipment manufacturing setup. Experience in industries related to poultry processing, waste recycling, or green energy systems is highly preferred.
