Mathematics Teacher

You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering structured math lessons for students in Grades 1 to 5 in accordance with the school's curriculum and learning objectives. Your role will involve designing age-appropriate activities and learning materials to make math enjoyable and relatable to primary students. Using a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, storytelling, games, and visual aids, will be essential to enhance students" understanding. Assessment and monitoring of students" progress through classwork, homework, projects, and regular assessments will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Providing individualized support and remedial instruction to students who require additional help is crucial. You will also be expected to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and confidence in mathematical thinking. Collaboration with other subject teachers to integrate cross-curricular connections and regular communication with parents regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement are important components of this role. Maintaining accurate records of student performance and attendance, participating in school events, teacher training, and parent-teacher meetings, and ensuring classroom management and discipline aligned with school policies are also part of the job. Qualifications required for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (B.Ed. preferred). Prior teaching experience with primary school students is highly desirable, along with a strong understanding of early mathematical concepts and developmentally appropriate teaching methods. Excellent communication and classroom management skills, patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children are essential. The ability to use educational technology and interactive tools for teaching is also beneficial. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for freshers.
