Mathematics Teacher

As a Maths Teacher at our primary school, your role involves delivering engaging and effective math lessons for students in Grades 1 to 5. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering structured math lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives. Your key responsibilities include: - Designing age-appropriate activities and learning materials to make math enjoyable and relatable for primary students. - Utilizing various teaching methods such as hands-on activities, storytelling, games, and visual aids to enhance understanding. - Assessing and monitoring students" progress through classwork, homework, projects, and regular assessments. - Providing individualized support and remedial instruction to students who require additional help. - Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence in mathematical thinking. - Collaborating with other subject teachers to integrate cross-curricular connections. - Communicating regularly with parents regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. - Maintaining accurate records of student performance and attendance. - Participating in school events, teacher training, and parent-teacher meetings. - Ensuring classroom management and discipline aligned with school policies. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (B.Ed. preferred). Prior teaching experience with primary school students is highly desirable. You should have a strong understanding of early mathematical concepts and developmentally appropriate teaching methods, along with excellent communication and classroom management skills. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children are essential qualities for this position. Ability to use educational technology and interactive tools for teaching is also beneficial.
