You will need to use online patent databases to gather relevant information, prepare Patent Proofing Reports, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data handled. To qualify for this position, you must hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Science or English and have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patent Proofreader. Additionally, a thorough understanding of the US Patent Prosecution Life Cycle is essential. Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required, along with knowledge of PDF Editors like Adobe Acrobat, Nuance, or Nitor. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary to effectively follow instructions and maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
