Job Title: Buyer/Planner Location: Coimbatore Responsibilities: - Demand Planning & Order Fulfillment: - Maintain kit/Spares BOM for legacy and NPI products in the install base - Manage safety stock levels, reorder levels & Economic order quantity in ERP for Global & Regional depot locations - Generate/Manage demand based on Sales orders/replenishment modes - Manage order backlog ensuring smooth flow through the order fulfillment cycle - Oversee inventory and RMA for the Core BU - Manage open POs and suppliers for multiple depot locations - Validate order configuration and communicate delivery dates - Plan Production parts in alignment with manufacturing requirements - Collaborate with other functions to ensure on-time delivery and resolve issues - Supply Planning and Materials Replenishment: - Execute planning process, create purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers - Review and resolve material shortages/safety stock levels - Expedite past due orders, obtain supplier promise dates, and maintain on-time availability of materials - Drive improvement in supplier on-time delivery and interact with key suppliers - Maintain planning parameters and safety stocks in multiple spares depots Desired Characteristics: - Ability to work independently - Self-motivated, resourceful, results-oriented, and decisive - Capable of leading cross-functional projects and demonstrating autonomy - Understanding of product life cycles and their impact on planning and procurement - Flexibility and resourcefulness Requirements: - Four-year degree and two years of prior work experience in Planning & Procurement - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word - Experience with PLM, ERP & MRP tools, pc/MRP, Six Sigma Lean manufacturing, JIT, Kanban, and VMI Compensation: YES offers competitive salaries, benefits, and long-term incentives, along with a stimulating and enjoyable work environment.
