Material Testing Engineer

As a Material Testing Engineer at Rawatsons Engineers Pvt. Ltd., your role will involve conducting, analyzing, and reporting test results to ensure conformance with required metallurgical and mechanical standards. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining Spectrometer for chemical composition analysis, conducting UTM tests, and performing chemical and physical analysis of materials. Your attention to detail and understanding of testing standards will play a crucial role in maintaining calibration and testing records accurately. Additionally, you will coordinate with QA and production teams for material clearance and reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain Spectrometer for chemical composition analysis of metals. - Conduct UTM tests including tensile, bend, and compression testing. - Perform chemical and physical analysis of materials as per IS/ASTM standards. - Prepare, label, and calibrate samples before testing. - Validate material composition with heat numbers and MTC. - Maintain calibration and testing records accurately. - Ensure testing compliance with ISO 9001:2015, project QAP, and customer specifications. - Coordinate with QA and production teams for material clearance and reporting. Skills & Competencies: - Hands-on experience in Spectro Machine operation & calibration. - Proficient in UTM testing and data analysis. - Strong understanding of metallurgical, chemical, and physical testing standards. - Report generation and documentation accuracy. - Basic knowledge of material science and quality management systems. - Attention to detail and laboratory discipline. Qualifications & Experience: - Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Material Science Engineering. - Minimum 13 years of experience in spectro, UTM, or material testing laboratories. - Experience in fabrication, foundry, or heavy engineering preferred. - NDT Level II certification will be an added advantage. Work Environment: This role is primarily lab-based with periodic coordination with production and QA teams. Adherence to safety, calibration, and testing procedures at all times is essential.
