Job Summary: The Production Planning Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the production planning and control functions in our manufacturing facility. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of optimizing production processes, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demand and business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans to satisfy customer orders while meeting inventory and capacity constraints. Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to assess production requirements and adjust plans as necessary. Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring the availability of materials and components. Analyse inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Implement and maintain systems for inventory control, including cycle counting and management of obsolete material. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs. Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and tools to streamline operations and maximize productivity. Lead projects aimed at process improvement and adherence to best practices. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse production data and generate reports using ERP systems and other analytics tools to track KPIs and inform decision-making. Present findings, recommendations, and action plans to upper management. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments. Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate production status, address issues, and ensure alignment on priorities. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A minimum of 8+ years of experience in production planning and control within the automotive industry or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and Lean principles. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
