Interpret design requirements and specifications as they relate to simulation load cases. Build simulation models utilizing various CAE software, creating meshed models for both metal and plastic components. Ensure that the models meet the quality parameters set by internal and external customers. Develop and validate CAE material models. Set up simple static, quasi-static, and dynamic analyses using software such as LS-Dyna, PAMCRASH, ABAQUS, RADIOSS, or Optistruct for tasks like Pull/Push and 3 pt. bending. Analyze and interpret simulation results accurately. Utilize knowledge of Shape core manufacturing processes, vehicle design packaging, GD&T, DFMEA, product performance, and CAD software methodologies. Effectively communicate and elucidate results to technical audiences, both internal and external. Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities not explicitly outlined in the job description as instructed by superiors. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance, leave encashment, paid sick time, paid time off, and Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day shift with the opportunity for a quarterly bonus. Applicants must have completed their Engineering in Mechanical and possess a strong understanding of Hypermesh.
