We are looking for Qualified and experienced Mechanical Design Engineers for our customer’s newly established Pune Engineering office in India. As a key member of the Galley or Lavatory Integrated Project Team, you will play a crucial role in new customer introductions, new product development, and sustaining activities. This position requires expertise in top-level assembly creation using CATIA V5 and AutoCAD proficiency in supporting workflows within the PLM system, and meticulous attention to detail in all engineering aspects. Develop top-level Galley or Lavatory assembly models in CATIA V5 & AutoCAD Create detailed components and subassemblies to meet project requirements. Propose design options for new customer requirements and guide them through purchasing, testing, and operations phases. Conduct and support internal design reviews. Act as the technical focal point in customer meetings. Publish accurate and comprehensive parts lists. Perform peer reviews of models and drawings to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Generate design solutions to address change requests. Update weight matrices for assigned programs. Understand and accommodate new customer requirements within design parameters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, stress engineers, flammability engineering, purchasing, operations, and program management. Provide support to manufacturing, operations, and testing activities as needed. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering. 3 to 6 years of related experience and/or training in product design. Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in Boeing and Airbus monument designs, such as lavatories, galleys, closets, and dividers Strong engineering skills encompassing structures, mechanisms, systems, and kinematics. Proven ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously. Capability to independently research and investigate design solutions. Relevant 3D solid modeling and drafting experience, preferably in CATIA CAD . Interpretation of 2D drawings, including a strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stackups. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Requirements: Proficiency in CATIA, ACAD and PLM systems such as ARAS. Advanced engineering skills in mechanisms, kinematics, and kinetics. Experience with commercial aircraft Galley, Lavatory monuments, or other interior products. Familiarity with Qualification Test Programs for Boeing and Airbus programs is highly desirable. Language skill: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Customer Orientation: Ability to interact effectively with high levels of internal and external management. Strong presentation skills for clear and concise customer presentations.
