Mastering Technician (A.V Editor/ Text Conformance)

Role Overview: As an Audio Video Editor, your primary responsibility will be to perform edits on Episodes, Features, Trailer, and Trailer Clip based on QC notes in order to create error-free content for digital distribution. You will be required to thoroughly update the portal with the status of titles, whether they are in process, rejected, or ready for finalization. Additionally, you will review QC reports, address identified issues, and ensure that the final content meets our master file specifications. Conducting video compliance for different territories and ensuring adherence to censorships and statutory warnings will also be part of your role. Your tasks will include various levels of editing and conformance to match the content and audience, as well as generating local proxies and handling conversions from HD to SD, UHD to HD, among other tasks. Syncing external audio to deliverable final files, mezzanine creation, and working with texted files using Textless material will also be within your scope of responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Perform edits on Episodes, Features, Trailer, and Trailer Clip based on QC notes - Update the portal with the status of titles (in process, rejected, ready for finalization) - Review QC reports, address identified problems, and ensure content matches master file specifications - Conduct video compliance for different territories, ensuring censorship and statutory warning compliance - Perform various degrees of edit & conformance matching the content and audience - Generate local proxies and handle conversions HD to SD, UHD to HD - Sync external audio to deliverable final file - Create mezzanine files - Work on making Texted files Textless using Textless material Qualifications Required: - Experience with Premiere Pro and understanding of frame rates, progressive and interlaced formats - Knowledge of video compressions and conversion methods (Apple ProRes, H.264, DVCPRO HD, etc.) - Basic experience with Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Studio - Familiarity with QuickTime Pro, Switch, and Microsoft Office - Background in transcoding and encoding is a plus - Proficiency with Mac and PC operating systems - Strong attention to detail and communication skills (Note: The beneficial skills section for AV Editor is omitted from the final JD) Kindly send your CV to bangalorejobs@premieredigital.net with the subject line "Mastering".,
