The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring precision and quality in machining large-sized non-metal components. Key Responsibilities: CNC Milling Programming: Develop CNC programs for milling large-sized models based on CAD and engineering specifications. Use CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX etc) to generate and optimize CNC programs for non-metal materials. Modify and edit CNC programs to accommodate design changes or production needs. Machine Setup & Operation: Set up CNC milling machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and setting machine parameters. Operate CNC milling machines to perform machining tasks such as cutting, shaping, and drilling large non-metal workpieces. Monitor machine performance during operations to ensure quality and accuracy of work. Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Perform routine checks and maintenance of CNC machines to ensure they are functioning properly. Adjust machine settings to correct deviations from specifications or tolerances. Material Handling: Select and load appropriate non-metal materials (Clay, composites, etc.) into the CNC machine. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage during machining. Ensure stocking of materials and maintain inventory of raw materials and tools. Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of tools, materials, and machines. Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and comply with environmental and safety regulations. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as tool changes, cleaning, and lubrication. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with the CNC milling machines during production. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other operators to review technical drawings and design specifications. Communicate with the production team to meet production schedules and resolve any issues or delays. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Technical certifications in CNC programming or machining (preferred). Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in 5 axis CNC milling operations, preferably with large-sized machines. Experience with non-metal materials (plastics, composites, wood, foam, etc.) is highly desirable. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for CNC programming (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX, SolidWorks).
