Plan and schedule production to meet delivery timelines and quality requirements. Monitor machine performance, tool life, and production efficiency. Regular interaction with SCM, Q.A, PPC, Maintenance & Officer/ Workmen ensuring daily production target achievement and smooth productionizing of new products with applicable quality standards. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team of CNC machinists, Fabricators, Operators and programmers. Conduct performance evaluations and support skill development initiatives. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Adherence to multi-skill planning of workmen through OJT. Effective Manpower handling through control of absenteeism & grievances Quality & Process Control: Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO 9001 / AS9100 / ISO 13485 as applicable). Review and approve machining programs, setups, and first-article inspections. Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions. Initiate, Implement & Monitor CAPA for Rejection/Rework. Maintenance & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce proper use of PPE. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cycle time reduction, and cost savings. Collaborate with engineering and design teams for manufacturability feedback. Implement lean manufacturing and 5S practices. Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Production or Mechanical Engineering Experience: 10+ Years of experience in Tool room, Machine Shop, Fabrication shop with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Functional Competencies Hands-on experience with 5-Axes CNC Machining Centers, 3- Axes VMCs, HMCs, CNC Lathes, Turn Mills, Laser Jet , Water Jet Cutting and CNC bending machines. Strong understanding of G-codes, CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Unigraphics, Fusion 360), and CAD tools. Knowledge of CNC Part Programming. Knowledge of GD&T, material properties, and advanced tooling strategies. Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and production planning tools. Must have knowledge of TS, OHSAS,ISO systems & TPM. Well versed in 7 QC tools, statistical tools / PPAP. Data Analytics, Presentation & interpretation of MIS. Productivity Improvements & Scrap reduction. Well versed with Lean Manufacturing Tools like 5S & Kanban. Resource & Manpower planning. Must have basic knowledge of Assembly Line processes.
