Your Role At A Glance The Software Engineer II works in a constantly evolving, agile environment, contributing to the solution sets that solve the world's manufacturing challenges. This role pro-actively takes ownership of tasks to create and maintain software components, while applying state-of-the-art development practices and technologies to resolve development challenges in our large codebase. Must be located in Pune, India How You’ll Drive Success Software Development & Technical Execution Design, develop, and test software to resolve defects and implement user stories. Utilize modern development practices to solve complex problems related to the team’s domain. Develop and commit to test-driven development. Continuously develop a good understanding of the tools, technologies, and processes for software development. Perform other duties as needed. Collaboration & Agile Practices Work with team in writing, correctly sizing, and accurately detailing and breaking down stories and defects. Actively participate in planning meetings related to assigned areas. Pro-actively coordinate with other developers, actively contribute to solution sets aimed at satisfying how best to implement changes. Conduct peer reviews independently. Communication & Continuous Improvement Communicate project status regularly, inclusive of all pertinent details, with all necessary stakeholders. Continuously work to develop good knowledge and expertise in your team’s area of responsibility. The Talents We’re Seeking Education Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering, or equivalent experience. Required Skills 4-5 years’ experience developing commercial CAD/CAM applications in C++. (Additional C# experience is preferred). Experience developing plugin applications for SolidWorks, NX, Catia, Autodesk etc. is highly preferred. Experience with computational geometry and algorithms development. Experience developing for Microsoft Windows using Visual Studio. Experience with standard software development practices such as source control, peer reviews, and unit testing. Experience with agile software development. Knowledge and experience with Cloud development and deployment Solid understanding of object-oriented development. Team player who can clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical co-workers. A proven ability to drive projects to completion.
