We are seeking a skilled PLC / SCADA Engineer to join our team specializing in the design, commissioning, and maintenance of heat treatment furnace automation systems . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial control systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to develop and integrate solutions that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient furnace operations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and program PLC logic and SCADA systems for heat treatment furnaces. Configure, integrate, and test automation hardware including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and communication networks. Develop SCADA graphics, alarms, and reporting features to support furnace process monitoring and control. Perform system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective actions for automation-related issues. Lead commissioning, startup, and site acceptance testing of new furnace control systems. Maintain and update control system documentation including wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and software backups. Collaborate with process engineers, mechanical engineers, and project teams to ensure automation solutions meet operational requirements. Provide technical support, training, and guidance to maintenance and operations teams. Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and quality procedures . Qualifications & Skills Bachelors Degree (or Diploma with relevant experience) in Electrical / Electronics / Automation / Instrumentation Engineering . Proven experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, or similar). Strong knowledge of SCADA/HMI development tools (e.g., WinCC, Wonderware, iFIX, Ignition). Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.). Familiarity with heat treatment furnace processes or other high-temperature industrial systems is a plus. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to travel to customer sites for commissioning and support. Preferred Experience Exposure to PID control loops , temperature control, and process automation. Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and industrial instrumentation . Knowledge of industrial safety standards (IEC, ISO, NFPA, etc.) . Previous experience in the metallurgy, automotive, or manufacturing industries .
