Reporting To: Director Operations About the Role MARS Crafts Exports, a leading manufacturer and exporter of premium handcrafted metal products, is seeking a Senior Associate Finance & Production Operations to work directly with the Director of Operations. This role blends finance and cost accounting expertise with active involvement in production operations, packaging, export logistics, and vendor management. The selected candidate will not only provide financial insights but also oversee inbound production orders, working closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth execution. Key Responsibilities Finance & Costing Prepare and maintain detailed product costing sheets for all product categories. Monitor raw material, labour, overhead, and packaging costs; analyse variances and recommend corrective measures. Provide accurate cost and margin analysis to support pricing decisions. Assist with reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Production Operations & Vendor Coordination Oversee and manage inbound production orders from placement to fulfilment. Coordinate with vendors to ensure orders are executed on time, within cost parameters, and as per quality standards. Track production schedules, monitor delays, and escalate issues with corrective action. Ensure packaging standards and costs are optimized for efficiency. Liaise with the production team to capture real-time data for cost and performance tracking. Exports & Logistics Work with freight forwarders and shipping lines to manage export shipments. Track container loads, shipping schedules, and associated costs. Liaise with agents to get competitive quotes on time as per the companys export schedule. Maintain export cost data and monitor logistics KPIs (on-time dispatches, freight costs, etc.). Support in resolving documentation and customs-related issues in coordination with the logistics team. Reporting & Coordination Develop dashboards and reports on production orders, vendor performance, costs, and export timelines. Support in budgeting and forecasting across production and logistics. Act as a central coordination point for the Director, ensuring priorities across finance, production, and logistics are executed. Qualifications & Requirements Education: B. Comm (mandatory). Additional finance/accounting diplomas are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 6 years in finance/accounting with exposure to manufacturing, exports, or vendor-based operations. Proficiency in cost accounting, production order tracking, and MS Excel. Strong understanding of production workflows, packaging, exports, and freight forwarding. Ability to manage vendors, production schedules, and logistics partners. Effective communication in both English and Hindi.
