About the Role
Are you a young marine engineer who speaks both engine room and Excel VISSH MARINE is looking for a Marine Operations Coordinator to bridge the gap between sea and shore operations, transforming vessel data into intelligence that drives our three-pod ecosystem: INFORM55, PROPELIQ, and NEXUSIQ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vessel Communications & Operations
Direct communication with Masters and Chief Engineers for data collection and operational feedback
Coordinate noon report analysis and performance monitoring across fleet operations
Translate technical vessel requirements into actionable digital solutions
Provide technical support for maritime software implementations onboard
- Data Analysis & Intelligence
Analyze vessel performance data, fuel consumption patterns, and compliance metrics
Transform raw operational data into compelling insights for fleet optimization
Support development of KPIs for marine operations and regulatory compliance
Create technical reports and performance dashboards for stakeholders
- Technical Support & IT Assistance
Assist IT team with maritime-specific technical requirements and system testing
Bridge communication between software developers and marine operations teams
Support deployment and troubleshooting of shipboard monitoring systems
Provide technical documentation and user training materials
- Administrative & Marketing Support
Assist in creating technical content for maritime industry marketing campaigns
Support customer communications with deep maritime technical expertise
Help develop case studies and performance reports showcasing client results
Coordinate with business development team for technical presentations and demos
Requirements
- Essential Qualifications:
Marine Engineering degree or equivalent maritime technical qualification
2-4 years experience in marine operations, fleet management, or maritime technology
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and basic SQL
Excellent communication skills - comfortable speaking with both crew and executives
Multi-tasking ability - thrive in dynamic, fast-paced remote work environment
- Technical Skills:
Understanding of ship systems, fuel management, and performance optimization
Experience with noon reports, fuel consumption analysis, and vessel operations
Basic knowledge of maritime regulations (MARPOL, IMO, FuelEU Maritime preferred)
Comfortable with data visualization tools and creating technical reports
Familiarity with maritime software systems and digital solutions

Team player who can work across technical and business functions
Self-motivated and comfortable with remote work and international time zones
Eager to learn new software and contribute to maritime digitalization
- Bonus Points:
Sea-going experience as Junior Engineer or deck/engine officer
Experience with maritime software (fleet management, compliance systems, EFMS)
Knowledge of digital maritime trends (IoT, predictive maintenance, AI applications)
Familiarity with FuelEU Maritime, CII, EEXI or other compliance frameworks
Basic programming knowledge (Python, R, or similar data analysis tools)
Understanding of vessel monitoring systems and maritime data standards
