POSITION: Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics The Mediabrands Insights team is look for an individual who has an interest in data analysis and econometric modelling. Working across a wide variety of accounts, you will be part of a team that analyses client data and makes media mix recommendations that will increase topline business performance and ROI. This position will work closely with team members across multiple disciplines such as media planning and investment, research, and strategy. Reporting to the Analytics Manager, you will be contributing in various stages of the project, from data gathering and processing, analyzing the data using excel, through to running sophisticated econometrics in our proprietary analysis and optimization software. About the role: The successful candidate in this position will have experience with statistical models, the curiosity to search for new answers to old problems, the desire to be part of a team of data science professionals, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members seamlessly. The media environment is fast-paced and always evolving; we are looking for dynamic candidates who can adapt quickly and enjoys working across a diverse client portfolio. Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with team of analysts to deliver marketing analytics projects for our clients Contribute to end to end modeling projects including: Data Collection & Processing Modeling Quality checks Optimizations Able to roll-up sleeves and contribute to data clean-up, modeling, insights generation and slide creation Pick up new methodologies, business terminologies quickly Contribute to client presentations to communicate, present and evangelize the results to our clients and agency partners Qualifications: Post-secondary education University graduate and/or quantitative background preferred 2+ years of experience in a modeling OR modeling management role preferably in the marketing domain Excellent written and verbal communication skills Prior project management experience is preferred (but not necessary) Knowledge of basic statistics (R-square, MAPE, Hypothesis testing) required Ability to quickly pick up nuances of the business and adapt to business needs Ability to handle multiple projects synchronously Knowledge of coding preferred but not required Marketing background preferred but not required IPG Mediabrands is an equal opportunity employer and we welcome and encourage applications from all interested parties. Enhance Forecasting Processes: Improve existing forecasting processes through strategic system integration and advanced analytics. Own the setting of IBP Demand Module. Develop optimum Portfolio segmentation process & tailored demand planning/statistical modelling Analyze Customer Data: Examine customer point-of-sale (POS) data to identify sales trends, seasonal patterns, and emerging demand shifts. Use insights from data analysis. Monitor Forecast Performance: Track forecast accuracy using performance metrics such as Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and bias. Implement corrective actions to address any discrepancies or gaps in forecast accuracy. Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Apply industry best practices to improve forecasting and demand planning processes. Support Strategic Planning: Assist the Demand Planning Director and Sales Channel Leader in developing a 24-month rolling Demand Plan. Contribute to long-term strategic planning and decision-making Provide Reports and Presentations: Prepare regular reports and presentations for sales leadership highlighting risks, opportunities and actionable recommendations. Communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, demand planning and supply chain teams to align forecasts with business objectives and promotional activities. Ensure that demand forecasts support overall business strategies and goals. Interacts with Demand Planning, SC Planning, SC Design, Transformation, COE Planning, Business Leaders (SBT) Sales & Product Managers, Finance Data insights and analytics leader and team Competencies Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork
