The Senior Engineer - GCP and Java, holding the Corporate Title of AVP, based in Pune, India, is responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions to address business problems across various environments. This role involves the partial/full ownership of Production platforms, ensuring environment stability, quick resolution of issues, and minimal downtimes for uninterrupted services. The Senior Engineer also investigates, proposes, and implements standardized solutions to enhance the stability and reliability of application platforms. Additionally, this position may involve leading team members and overseeing their work. Key Responsibilities: - Designing and developing new functionality - Collaborating with the team on functional and non-functional requirements, technical analysis, and design - Coding, testing, and reviewing changes made by team members, along with automating unit tests for new and existing functionality - Documenting business and functional requirements, design decisions, and APIs - Working with the QA team on test automation - Contributing to defining the future state of the system architecture and third-party product customization - Managing a small team to mentor them for development and delivery Skills And Experience: - Extensive hands-on experience in Java, including designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications - 8 to 13 years of Java experience with a focus on multi-threading, collections, concurrency, and optimization - Proficiency in developing object-oriented software applications using Java, J2EE, and Spring framework with MongoDB or any no-SQL database - Understanding of design patterns and their usage - Knowledge of Spring Core, MVC, JPA, Security, and transactions, as well as Web Service (REST), JUnit, and Agile Development - Exposure to Cloud platforms like GCP, IaC using Terraform, Helm charts for Continuous Deployment, and frameworks like Map Struct and Free Marker - Practical experience with Build Tools (preferably Gradle), Source Code Control (preferably GitHub), Continuous Integration (GitHub Workflow), and Cloud/Docker-based application deployment - Strong desire to build, sense of ownership, urgency, and drive, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of JSON - Experience working in an agile team and producing well-tested, documented, high-performance code within tight schedules Support: - Training, development, and coaching to enhance career progression - Continuous learning culture and flexible benefits tailored to individual needs About Us: Deutsche Bank Group strives for a culture of empowerment, responsibility, commercial thinking, initiative, and collaboration.
