Manufacturing Software Test Engineer

Role Overview: Wing is seeking a Manufacturing Software Test Engineer to join the Manufacturing team based in Chennai, India. As a Manufacturing Software Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing automated test systems and infrastructure for the mass production of Wing's aircrafts. Your responsibilities will include investigating and analyzing manufacturing data, overseeing aircraft deployment and testing, collaborating with internal teams and vendors, and designing data analysis tools to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, support, and deploy test automation software and infrastructure for aircraft manufacturing sites during NPI and mass production stages - Investigate and analyze manufacturing data to debug hardware and software issues related to aircraft components/technologies and embedded Linux systems - Oversee aircraft deployment and testing at operational sites to ensure alignment with company objectives and operational excellence - Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, and contract manufacturers to drive projects, resolve issues, and improve design/processes - Design and deliver data analysis tools and infrastructure that transform manufacturing data into actionable insights for continuous improvement Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of experience in designing and developing software for manufacturing test and infrastructure - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience - Proficient programming skills in Python with a strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming - Experience with hardware and software embedded systems in Unix/Linux environments - Knowledge of test methodologies, creating test plans, test cases, and QA processes - Experience in prototyping, bring-up, debugging, verification, and providing manufacturing support for embedded systems - Familiarity with communication protocols and interfaces such as USB, UART, SSH, SCPI, or CAN - Knowledge of electronics fundamentals including reading schematics and datasheets - Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15% (Note: Additional details about the company were not present in the provided job description.),
