Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for performing various testing procedures in a laboratory environment for quality assurance. Your duties will include making measurements, performing routine quantitative and qualitative analytical tests, conducting calculations and determinations on tests, and evaluating physical/chemical characteristics. You must be familiar with the use of standard and industry-specific specialized laboratory equipment. Analyzing test results and experiments to ensure conformity to physical and/or chemical specifications will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Possess adequate knowledge and understanding of relevant national and international standards like IEC. - Understand different kinds of electrical schematic drawings. - Trace faults and solve them (both electrical and mechanical) by referring to the documents. - Work in the testing field and have knowledge of testing equipment. - Experience in high voltage testing, partial discharge testing, and routine testing of switchgear products. - Have basic knowledge of switchgear products. - Perform electrical wiring independently in Local control cubical and verify basic interlocks. - Work independently, handle day-to-day workload, and supervise team members to deliver output in targeted timelines. - Familiar with practices such as 5S, KAIZEN, etc. - Coordinate with various cross functions like production, stores, packing, and marketing/planning. - Handle customer inspections independently. - Knowledge of equipment calibration and certification. - Age group requirement: 22 to 29 years. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions, caring for colleagues, and the business. Qualifications Required: - 4 to 6 years of experience in the field. - Skills in High voltage testing, partial discharge testing, Mechanical endurance test of Switchgear products. Experience in GIS & DTB testing is an added advantage. - Adequate knowledge of functional and interlock verification in low voltage or local control cubicle. - Quick learner with an interest in and ability to master new technologies. - Knowledge of basic SAP. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Hindi language is required.,
