We are Urgently Hiring for Purchase Engineer at Bangalore-Kanakapura Lcoation for our Client Job Title : Purchase Engineer Qualifications Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or related engineering field. Experience: 2-4 Years CTC: 3-6 LPA Location: Bangalore-Kanakapura Department : Purchase 1. Role Overview A Purchase Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and procuring engineering materials, components, and services required for production and projects. They combine technical knowledge with commercial acumen to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality procurement. Key Responsibilities Vendor Management Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers Maintain vendor database, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards. Technical Evaluation Understand technical specifications, drawings, and BOMs. Compare vendor offerings on cost, quality, and engineering fit. Liaise with design, R&D, and production teams to finalize suppliers. Procurement Execution Float RFQs, obtain quotations, and prepare techno-commercial comparisons. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers. Issue purchase orders and track order execution. Cost & Inventory Management Monitor raw material price trends and suggest cost-saving measures. Implement strategic sourcing and alternative material/vendor development. Coordinate with stores/warehouse to optimize inventory levels. Cross-functional Coordination Work closely with production, QA/QC, planning, and finance teams. Resolve supply chain bottlenecks, quality issues, or delays. 3. Required Skills Technical Knowledge: Materials(metals, plastics, electronics, etc.), engineering drawings, manufacturing processes. Procurement Skills: RFQs,negotiations, vendor development, contract management. Software Skills: ERPRFQs, negotiations, vendor development, contract management. Soft Skills: Communication, analytical thinking, negotiation, decision-making.
