Summary The Process Engineer is mainly responsible for developing and optimizing our manufacturing processes. Essential Functions Support the Production Team for surface mount electronics (SMT), through hole soldering, and mechanical part assemblies. Specifying new equipment and evaluation of new equipment, processes, and materials. Generating post build/DFM report and presenting to customers. Component analysis Failure Analysis Review customer engineering change orders and deviations and apply to the process. Process Improvement/Process Development for various Production gates Review customer returned materials. Yields review, development of corrective action and implementation of corrective actions. Occasional training of production personnel. Generate process documentation. New product introduction and development. Flexibility and the initiative to take on other roles/processes outside of the SMT area as needed. Work with the quotations group to quote new assemblies. Working closely with other members of the management team on product specifications and production schedules. Ensuring that all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations. Selecting, managing, and working with sub-contractors (vendors). Required & Preferred Education/Experience/Skills Associates or higher in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred. 2+ years experience supporting manufacturing. Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 Solder Requirements IPC Solder Certification is a plus. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard for a quality management system (QMS). Experience in executing process optimization including process engineering. Excellent problem solver and ability to generate innovative solutions to broad range of issues. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production and quality documents, drawings, and related industry materials. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community. Qualifications: Educational Qualifications: B.E. in Polymer or Mechanical Engineering with 4-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or production. Type of Institute: AICTE approved University/Institute. Key Responsibilities: Core ME Functions: Implement Lean Manufacturing processes to eliminate waste and improve efficiency. Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives across the manufacturing units. Develop and enhance vendor performance and relationships. Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation. Provide high-quality customer service and support. Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed records of the progress of all initiatives. Regularly report the status of implementation to the relevant vertical. Interface Needs of Technology and QA: Verify the adequacy and completeness of inputs from engineering/technology for manufacturing, QA, and logistics. Ensure the correct version of technical documents (BOM, technical specifications, part drawings, test procedures, and QAP) is distributed at the plant level. Support new product development (NPD) activities, prototype developments, and other initiatives as advised by the Vertical ME Head. Cost Reduction: Implement lean, kaizen, and six sigma methodologies in manufacturing units. Validate and implement value engineering proposals from the plant or vertical. Maintenance Monitoring: Monitor the function and maintenance of all molds, equipment, and tools within the Regional Business Unit (RBU).

Proven experience in fixture design, mechanical design, or manufacturing engineering Proficiency in CAD software (e. g. , Creo, SolidWorks). Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling A demonstrated ability to solve problems with innovative and cost-effective solutions. Experience with design for manufacturability and cost reduction strategies Excellent working knowledge of equipment and process validation Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles Knowledge of ISO and FDA compliance with emphasis on validation. Experience in programming IEC 61131 compliant PLC language Excellent Knowledge of CE Standards. Motivated to work on own initiative and the ability to make and implement decisions.
