Manufacturing Engineer Jigs & Fixtures Development

As an engineer at Native, you will play a crucial role in designing and deploying tools to build high-performance products for Indian homes. Your primary focus will be on creating efficient and safe jigs, fixtures, gauges, and tooling for product assembly and testing. You will work closely with internal teams and external toolmakers to ensure the seamless implementation of tools on the assembly line. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and validate jigs, fixtures, gauges, and tooling for product assembly and testing. - Translate product design requirements into manufacturable tooling solutions, focusing on efficiency, safety, and repeatability. - Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to commission and implement tools on the production line. - Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews and incorporate feedback from tool trials to drive continuous improvements. - Partner with cross-functional teams to solve line-level challenges through innovative tooling solutions. - Iterate and refine fixtures based on operator feedback and production data to minimize downtime and defects. Qualifications Required: - Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering. - 2-5 years of hands-on experience in tooling/fixture/jig design for consumer hardware, appliances, or automotive. - Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD) and GD&T. - Familiarity with DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and material/process selection (plastics, sheet metal, machining). - Ability to lead a design project from concept to commissioning with full ownership. - Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to addressing challenges on the shop floor.
