You are a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience, seeking to join a dynamic Research & Development team. Your background includes a comprehensive understanding of mechanical design and engineering principles, along with a proven track record in developing cutting-edge products and solutions. Your role will encompass the entire design process, from conceptualization to production, including prototyping and testing mechanical components and systems to meet project requirements and company standards. Your responsibilities will include generating innovative mechanical designs that align with project specifications and performance criteria. You will utilize CAD software, such as SolidWorks and SolidEdge, to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings following the ASME Y14.5 standard. Additionally, you will conduct brainstorming sessions and design reviews to address complex mechanical challenges and develop creative solutions. Feasibility studies will be a part of your job to evaluate the technical and economic viability of new product ideas. You will also be responsible for identifying potential risks and challenges, as well as developing product specifications and requirements based on market research and stakeholder inputs. Collaborating with manufacturing teams, you will optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, and cost efficiency. Furthermore, you will create tolerance analyses, conduct failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA), and build physical prototypes using various techniques like CNC machining, 3D printing, and traditional fabrication methods. Testing prototypes to validate design concepts, analyzing test results, and refining designs based on feedback will also be important aspects of your role. Your expertise will extend to integrating mechanical systems with electrical, software, and other subsystems, ensuring cohesive functioning of the complete system. You will identify opportunities for design improvements, develop project plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams for product launch preparations, and provide technical support during the initial production phase. Your skills should include experience in Special Purpose Machines (SPM) within industries like Agro Industry machines, packaging machines, Special Purpose Vehicles Modification, and Robotics. Additionally, proficiency in Mechanical design, 3D CAD software, communication, collaboration, project management, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and problem-solving will be key to your success. You should hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and have a proactive approach to staying informed about the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and related fields. Your ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and contribute to a fast-paced team environment will be crucial in this role.
